Bathroom Remodeling in Palatine
We did a bathroom remodel for this homeowner in Palatine, Illinois. Here are the different components of this bathroom renovation.
- Tub to shower conversion. We replaced the old tub with a sliding glass door shower. The shower enclosure has a marble pattern, making the room look brighter and adding a touch of elegance. Recessed ceiling lighting above the shower also makes the renovated bathroom look brighter.
- New vanity. In the old bathroom, there was a lot of beige and brown, which made the bathroom look darker and duller. We took out the generic wood vanity and replaced with with a modern floating vanity with a white finish and brush steel handles. This new color scheme of white, grays, and black accents helps reflect light better, making the bathroom brighter and giving it a more modern clean look.
- Upgraded countertop and sink. The old beige resin countertop was replaced with a marble-like countertop. The old sink fixtures were upgraded to smooth brushed steel fixtures, further reinforcing the modern clean aesthetic.
- New flooring installation. The default beige tile-like vinyl flooring was upgraded to faux-wood gray laminate flooring. This type of flooring looks 100 percent better, in addition to being more durable. The gray also gives a good color contrast to the marble white patterns in the countertop and shower, and the white vanity.
- Updated lighting, premium mirror. The old track lighting was upgraded to a soft white light above the sink. We also added a premium mirror with a built-in soft light border, reminiscent of ring lighting. These small touches add up to create a much more luxurious looking bathroom for our client in Palatine.
