Itasca Bathroom Remodeling Specialists
The bathroom remodel in this Itasca, Illinois home involved an upgrade from an older aesthetic to a modern, elegant look. We also made some changes to the layout of the shower and tub, and created better use of space. The end result is a better looking bathroom, with improved functionality, and increased value to the home. Here is a list of everything we accomplished in this bathroom renovation.
- Tub to shower conversion. Originally, the tub was a standard rectangular alcove tub, slightly opposite the window. The old shower was on a side wall, very near the window. In the new bathroom, the new shower went into the place where the tub was, and the old shower was built over with a new wall. The free standing tub in the corner almost directly below the window.
The new shower enclosure features a faux-stone pattern, a recessed caddy for holding toiletries, and clear glass doors.
- Freestanding tub installation. To replace the old alcove tub, we added a freestanding tub on the opposite side of the room from the shower and sink.
- New flooring. To make this bathroom look amazing, we replaced the old vinyl flooring with laminate wood flooring, which makes the bathroom look incredible.
- New cabinet vanity and sink. The original bathroom had a salmon colored countertop, which we replaced with a new sink countertop. The vanity is a clean white cabinet base with brushed steel cabinet handles. Also in the old bathroom, a wood-stained shelving unit hung above the toilet, for towel storage. The expanded vanity allows for more storage, eliminating the old shelving.
- Brand new paint. To complete this remodel, we repainted the walls from off-white to a pale gray-blue.
