Stair Remodeling in Northwest Chicagoland
Check out this staircase renovation job we completed for a homeowner in the Chicagoland area. The carpeted stairs were refinished with new hardwood flooring.
- Carpeted stair to hardwood. On two flights of stairs, we removed the existing carpet, bringing the stairs and landing down to the base wood. We then replaced this with hardwood flooring to match the landing area at the bottom of the entire stairs. This serves three purposes. First, making it easier to clean, as vaccuming the stairs was laborious. Second, a purely better looking aesthetic for the entire house. Third, this upgrade helps raise the overall appraisal value of the house.
The finished staircase looks much better and is functionally better than the previous version of the stairs.
